Many of our repeater sites are based in locations where 'on-grid' electricity isn't available and would cost too much to provision. We don't let this stop us! Uber Group now maintains over 40 solar and wind-powered sites. It is our belief that can offer our customers a superior internet experience, while being good to the environment..

Tangowahine

Our site in Tangowahine Valley is a great example of alternate power. Electricity is supplied by four 120-watt solar panels and a 400w Wind Generator. On a clear day the panels can produce just over 30Amps and the wind generator regularly charges at 10Amps in bad weather.
